BHS Cooperative Education

Cooperative Education is available to students during their junior and senior years, either as Work-Based Learning or as an Internship. The goals for these include:

  • Enhance the co-op student’s educational experience with real-world career-related work experience.
  • Allow the co-op student to develop skills and knowledge applicable to an identified career field.
  • Allow the co-op student to explore, through on-the-job experience, the career options related to their academic work, and to verify their career choice.
  • Increase the co-op student’s maturity level through exposure to the professional work environment.
  • Establish credentials for co-op students to enhance their opportunities after graduation for employment or admission to college.

BHS also offers two PDE approved Career and Technical Education programs: Diversified Occupations and Business Management.

For more information regarding any of these programs, please contact Mrs. Michelle Prybyla
