Mrs. Lisa Keller

Hello and welcome to my website!  My name is Lisa Keller, and I am thrilled to be teaching here at the middle school.  I have been teaching for more than twenty-five years, and during that time I have taught various grades.

From 1989-1998, I taught second and fourth grade at Memorial Elementary.  After that, I took several years off to stay home with my two sons, and I substituted in grades K-12.  In 2005, I went back to work here at Bloomsburg Middle School, and over a nine year period taught Title I Reading where I worked with small groups of students in grades 6-8.  I also worked as the Enrichment Coordinator for four years, and I taught 8th grade language arts for one year.

From 2014 - 2016 I transferred to W. W. Evans where I taught first grade.  Being a part of the amazing growth of those precious little ones was such a blessing.

I am very excited to be back at BMS and to have the chance to work with all of the fantastic middle school students again!  Helping them become better readers and seeing them improve their skills so that they can achieve success in their classes is truly a privilege.

I live in Bloomsburg with my husband, Ed, our two sons, Nathan and Nicholas, and our German Shepherd, Luna.   In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing with my dog, singing and playing guitar with the Praise Team at my church, traveling, reading, exercising, and watching classic movies.

I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1987 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and my master's degree in Reading from Bloomsburg University in 1994. I continue to take classes and engage in professional development so that I can keep current with the best teaching practices and methods that will be the most beneficial for my students.
