Medication During School
We recommend that students take medication before or after school, however we understand that this is not always possible. When a student must take medication during school hours, we require a note from the parent AND a doctor's order. As nurses, we are unable to give any medication without a doctor's order. Below is a form that can be filled out by your child's physician to ensure there is no delay in your child getting their medication during school hours.
A parent or guardian MUST bring the medication in the school to the nurse's office.
Medications that only require a parent note are: Acetaminophen (Tylenol), Ibuprofen, Antacids, Cold/Cough/Allergy Remedies/Decongestants, Midol, and Imodium. Any other medication must have the above form completed by a physician!
