Our District

The Bloomsburg Area School District is a public school district located in Columbia County, Pennsylvania. It serves the Town of Bloomsburg and the surrounding townships of Beaver, Hemlock, Main, and Montour, covering approximately 81 square miles. The district operates three elementary schools—Memorial Elementary School, W.W. Evans Elementary School, and Beaver Main Elementary School—all catering to students from kindergarten through fifth grade. These elementary schools feed into Bloomsburg Middle School for grades six through eight, and subsequently into Bloomsburg Area High School for grades nine through twelve.

High school students in the district have the option to attend the Columbia-Montour Area Vocational-Technical School, which offers training in various trades. The district is a member of the Pennsylvania Heartland Athletic Conference and the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association, providing a wide range of extracurricular activities, including numerous sports programs.

For specialized education services, the district collaborates with the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit (CSIU16), which offers support for disabled students, as well as professional development for staff and faculty.
