• My Teaching Philosophy:frog

I believe in encouraging a learning atmosphere of cooperation and community in our classroom.  I feel that social growth and development are just as important as academic success at this young age.  For this reason, I do my best to provide learning activities that incorporate teamwork and group problem-solving.  I also feel that every student has a unique learning style, and I try very hard to identify how each child learns best in our classroom.  Many of our topics involve project-based activities, where students can have the opportunity for hands-on learning experiences as well as classroom discussions.  I also strive to have a close relationship and open communication with the families of each of my students.  If parents ever have a comment or concern regarding their children, they know that they can contact me at the school through email, a phone call, or by sending in a note with the student.  I will do my very best to respond promptly, and I am always happy to set up a parent-teacher conference if parents would request one.  Most importantly, I have a passion for creating the most enriching and successful school year possible for each one of my students!  Teaching is a full-time responsibility and joy that I take very seriously, and each one of my students is a pleasure to work with in our classroom!  I am so excited to walk into the school every morning and see what exciting learning opportunities await my students and myself each day!
