About Mrs. Lapinski
Mrs. Lapinski, the BMS chorus director and general music teacher, was born in Berwick and grew up in Hobbie, PA. She graduated from Berwick High School and headed to West Chester University of Pennsylvania, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. She has also completed graduate work at Lebanon Valley College and Wilkes University and obtained her masters' degree in music education from Boston University.
Following her college graduation, Mrs. Lapinski began her teaching career in the Schuylkill Haven Area School District as the middle school and high school choral director. In 2003, following the retirement of Mr. Kauffman, Mrs. Lapinski became the music teacher here at Bloomsburg Middle School, where she also helps to instruct the BHS Marching Band, the BHS drama program, and teaches LCCC concurrent courses. An active flute player, vocalist, and pianist, she has also given private lessons and spent 15 years as the music director for the First Presbyterian Church of Bloomsburg.
Mrs. Lapinski lives in Bloomsburg with her husband, Jim, and their children, Hope, James, and Harper. They also have an Australian Shepherd named Shandy and a cat named Korra. She loves to travel and camp around the country.
