• Requirements for Nomination:

In an effort to recognize Bloomsburg High School alumni who have achieved great professional success, the Graduates of Distinction Program was founded in 2001.  Recipients are showcased prominently in the auditorium vestibule.  In order to be considered, the following guidelines must be met:

    • Nominee must have excelled in his/her career and/or made an outstanding contribution to society.
    • Nominee must have graduated from the Bloomsburg Area High School at least ten years prior to nomination.

    Process for Selection:

Each fall, the Graduates of Distinction Committee, which consists of both community and district representatives review nominations in order to determine who will be inducted.  Due to the prestigious nature of this honor, a high standard of achievement must be met.  Therefore, it is possible that no nominees will be selected.  All applications will be retained for a period of five years for future review to occur.  In addition, when nominations warrant, more than one inductee may be selected.

Each spring, all current high school students attend the induction ceremony.  By including them, we not only highlight the inductee’s accomplishments but also display an achievement to which all students can aspire.  Photos and biographical information of recipients are displayed prominently in the auditorium vestibule.

To be considered for selection, a completed nomination form must be submitted to:

    Bloomsburg Area School District

    Attn: Jonathan Cleaver, Superintendent

    728 East Fifth Street

    Bloomsburg, PA 17815
